Magazine/Book
This
committee accomplishes two functions: (1) It stimulates reader interest in The Rotarian magazine;
sponsors a magazine month; arranges for brief periodic reviews
of the magazine on regular club programs; encourages the use
of the magazine in the induction of new members; provides a
copy of the magazine for non-Rotarian speakers; and looks for ways to distribute copies of the magazine in non-Rotarian venues. (2) Collects used magazines and books for donation to the San Antonio USO for use by service personnel and their families.
Gift of Sight
The committee collects used eyeglasses which are turned over to the Lions
Club who then refurbishes and classifies them. They then provide boxes of
classified glasses to groups doing eye-care missions around the world. Goal
